With The Werks providing some opening support, RRE brought some seriously soulful bluegrass to the Rocky Mountain State for a memorable performance. The band opened up with “Happy Song,” keeping people dancing with tunes like “Drag Him Down” and “Hangtown Ball.” Towards the end of the set, the band welcomed out a previously-announced special guest, String Cheese Incident guitarist Billy Nershi. Nershi would stick around for “Mission Man,” “The Forecast” and “Butterfly and the Tree” to close out the first set. When the band returned for set two, they again appeared with Nershi. The SCI guitarist would stick around for the entirety of the second set, which even saw Railroad debut the song “Barstool,” written by Nershi. They also welcomed trumpeted Dan Sears for “I Am A Mess,” and closed out the set with “Stillwater Getaway.” “Elko” was the selection for the encore, wrapping up a marvelous performance.
